Joe Torre Story: Curveballs Along The Way

Born in Brooklyn, New York on July 18, 1940, Joe Torre (Paul Sorvino) grew up playing baseball under the tutelage of his older brother, Frank (Robert Loggia). By 1996, Joe had established an 18-year career as a ballplayer and 14 years as a manager, but had never played or managed in a world series. Even so, he is hired by New York Yankees owner, George Steinbrenner (Kenneth Welsh), to manage the team.
